Climate Stories Project
By submitting my information on the Climate Stories Project website and selecting "I grant permission to edit and share my story" or "My interviewee grants permission to edit and share their story," I/They agree to the following:
I understand that Climate Stories Project (CSP) uses recorded audio and video interviews and other media to highlight the influence of climate change on people and communities around the world. These recorded stories, interviews, or excerpts of these recordings, may be edited for brevity and clarity and may be publicly available on the website www.climatestoriesproject.org, the Climate Stories Project YouTube channel, Soundcloud channel, and Google Maps. The edited recordings may be used for public presentations and/or publicly presented artistic pieces. The interviews and spoken material, in whole or in part, may be disseminated to the public through the press, including radio, television, newspapers, and the internet.
In order to assist CSP, I have agreed to provide audio recordings, video recordings, written testimony, and personal information, including my personal experiences, remarks, incidents, dialogues, actions, and recollections, as well as any photographs and documents that I may willingly give to CSP (collectively, the Project Materials).
I attest that I have the exclusive right to submit the Project Materials.
I hereby grant to CSP and the Press:
I (the storyteller or interviewee) retain the copyright to the Project Materials. I retain the right to remove my story or interview from the CSP website. However, I waive any right I may have to edit submitted interviews as shared on the CSP website, inspect or approve the use of my name, image, biographical data, or Project Materials as incorporated into CSP or the CSP website.
I hereby release and discharge the Press, CSP, and the licensees, successors, and assigns of each, from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action that I may have against them regarding any use of the Project Materials or regarding anything contained in related advertising or promotional materials, including (but not limited to) any claims based on the right to privacy, the right to publicity, copyright, libel, defamation, or any other right.
